The new design began be demolishing the outdated rear extension & porch structures. The new design incorporated a Kitchen to the existing footprint but also was able to achieve integrated fridge & a small walke.
The ground floor incorporated a newly designed bathroom, which included a 1.8m shower & amazing feature stone m.
The new design incorporated new formal entry that opened onto a large open plan kitchen/dining/living space that was north facing with views over the private open space & future pool, alfresco & entertaining space. We incorporated a combination Pantry & laundry along the west side to boundary. This created a quaint little courtyard / light court with glass French doors off the new dining space. Alongside the new dining & family space was an integrated Heat ‘n’ Glow fireplace & storage joinery. With traditional European oak flooring it bought out a beautiful natural character & created a sense of warmth along with a painted timber lined, raked ceiling with both north & east double glazed Velux skylights. This extension goes the full with of the allotment, boundary to boundary so natural light to the sky, the west light court off the dining and the large French door units to the north were crucial design elements to create a nice functional & yet beautiful home. The kitchen featuring a three meter Carrara marble island, Caesarstone benches, butler’s pantry and the refined range of integrated Live appliances. The existing part of the home was converted into three bedrooms with built-in-robes and two stunning fully tiled bathrooms featuring a fabulous herringbone motif include a main bedroom with walk-in robes and a luxurious ensuite. The old small entry was converted into a Wir & the old bathroom was converted to a new master ensuite. The old kitchen space was converted into the new spectacular bathroom. This extension more than doubled the existing footprint on a 300m2 allotment.
Influenced by the style cues and elegant aesthetics associated with the Hamptons, defined by its superior level of luxury, quality and attention to detail, this inviting home is essentially brand new behind a traditional façade. The existing rendered grey & white brick home allowed us to create a large new Hampton style home which we loved being a part of.
